This shelter is poured with concrete tested at 5000 psi, reinforced with rebar and 6” X 6” X 10” gauge wire. The steel door has passed FEMA debris impact tests and the unit meets or exceeds all ICC 500 standards. The shelter should be installed with the bottom half in-ground and top half with dirt ramped up on the sides. The top can be covered if desired.
